IN SHORT: The Nigeria Police Service Commission has disowned a press release circulating online about its 2022 recruitment. The commission has asked the public to disregard it.
As an oversight body, the PSC manages the interaction between the police and the public.
The message reads, in part: “Successful candidates are advised to print out their updated Invitation Slip and proceed to the Police Training College/School indicated against their names. The training exercise for successful candidates commences Monday, July 22, 2024.”
The press release is dated 6 July 2024 and signed by “Ikechukwu Ani, head of press and public relations”.
